Unfortunately the paradox didn’t end there. By erasing itself, there was nothing to erase the device, so it too popped back into existence. In turn that meant it went off and erased Jon’s mother again, setting off the same chain of dominos. Karyn felt a lurch and ended up back in her room, then another brought her back to Jon’s place, before going again.
