Mrs. McMillan the Maid

Janet McMillan lost her former beauty. Her age didn't change, but she looked older and gained weight beneath the fabric of her new uniform. "Is there anything else you'd like me to do, ma'am?" Sarah laughed at her ex-employer. "Yes. Leave." "Yes, ma'am." Mrs. McMillan closed the door softly behind her, suppressing her desire to slam it on the spoiled daughter of that *other* Mrs. McMillan. Fate had been so cruel. The agency just *had* to assign her to a family that happened to share her last name, one so different from the one she had married into. This rich Mr. McMillan had married a Hispanic woman and adopted her daughter Sarah. The former Sarah Menendez walked around her house. "Mine. All mine." She posed in front of her mirror. Even her clothes had changed. She'd never wear a maid's outfit again, except maybe at a costume party. Nah, not even there. She held the rock in front of her and smiled. "You did it. You can do more.
