Donut Girl

Mikey was shaken awake. "Oh, miss...Miss," a male voice said. He stared into the face of a policeman. "Umm.." "You shouldn't fall asleep on the job. Someone could rob you," he said. "Can I have a half dozen custard-filled?" He looked around. He was at the Doughnut Hole. How had he gotten here? He looked down. He was wearing an apron with the company logo on it. "Half a dozen custard-filled," the policeman repeated, putting a five down on the counter. Mikey panicked, and almost on automatic, started putting six custard filled donuts into a box. He pressed the buttons on the register and handed the man his change before he realized what he was doing.
