Waking Up

Mikey woke up, eager to see the results of his wish of the previous day. He wonder what silly outfit Jon would be wearing. He headed down to the kitchen and found a little girl drinking coffee. He frowned. "Hi, sweetheart," she said, in a childish voice. She was dressed in what looked like his mother's clothes, only shrunk to fit her body. She seemed to be acting like an adult, but in the way a girl playing house would. "What can Mommy make for breakfast for you?" "Umm...cereal," he said. "I'll get it," he volunteered. What had happened? His wish had said Jon would wear someone else's clothes...and...and...whoever wore his clothes would wear something else...But if that person also had to wear something else. He shook slightly. The city wasn't safe. He heard the door slam, and turned to see a strange woman enter his house and head upstairs. She looked vaguely familiar...someone from the neighborhood. She looked to be in her early thirties...a few years younger than his mom. He hurried to intercept her.
