Musical Closets: Mikey's Encounter With Miriam Lester

As Mikey walked to school, he smiled to himself. He took the stone out of his pocket and thought about all the things he could wish for. He also thought about his previous wish on Jon. He hadn't seen his brother that morning and wondered how he might have changed. Little did he know, Jon wasn't the only person in town that was affected by his wish. "You little devil," a woman's voice suddenly said. Mikey looked up from the stone and saw that crazy woman that lived down the street from him. Her name was Miriam Lester, he believed. She was standing about fifteen feet ahead of him, blocking his path, and staring at him with murderous eyes. Mikey suddenly got scared. But then he remembered that he had a wishing stone. He could just wish her away if he wanted. "You took away my daughter. My sweet innocent little Rebekah," she said. "And now you're gonna pay!" Mikey clutched the stone, thinking of a wish.
