Just in the nick of time

Fortunatly at that moment, Larry's hand grasped around a small hard object. "Yes!" he exclaimed, "Got it!" But the door was already opening, Jon's mother was clearly suspicious about what was taking so long. In a panic, Larry wished: "I wish there'd be nothing out of the ordinary in this room!" The door opened and Jon's mother frowned "oh, it's you honey. Never mind. I didn't hear you come back or that Larry boy leave!" She smiled and left. Larry looked around, confused. The room was back to normal - his ransacking effects neutralized. It was the reflection in the mirror that was most confusion though - he was Jon! "Urgh! I have the resemblance of that fool Smith. A fortunate state of affairs, but one which must be rectified at once. However, my key aim is obtained. I have the rock!"
