Where Jon Is

Sitting on Jon's bed, Karyn sighed. "I wish I knew where Jon was." After the stone glowed, Karyn's eyes went wide. "Oh my *god*! Jon!" She looked down at the pile of black powder. The powder *was* Jon. Frantically, Karyn made another wish. "I wish Jon was back to normal." The stone refused to grant her wish. "I wish Jon wasn't dead," she said. But still, nothing happened. "Why isn't this working?" "Oh, hi, Karyn," a voice said. She turned around and saw Jon's mother. "Do you know where Jon's gone off to?" Karyn felt like crying. How was she supposed to break the news to Jon's mom that her son was now dead, turned into a pile of black powder?
