24 Hours As His Mom

Jon rushed into his mom's room (now *his* room), but when he got there, he saw something deeply unsettling. It was his mom ... in *his* body ... dressed in *her* clothes. "It's not what you think," said Jon's mom (in Jon's body). "I ... I don't know how it happened. One moment I was in my bedroom, the next I was in here wearing your clothes. I know that doesn't seem possible, but ..." Jon's mom looked past Jon (who was in his mother's body) and saw Karyn. "Never mind." Jon's mother stood up from the bed and rushed out into the hallway, grabbing Karyn as she did. Then both of them headed into Jon's bedroom. Jon was about to go in too, but the door was slammed shut. "Hey, that's my room," Jon moaned. It was so weird hearing his mother's voice when he talked. ------ Inside Jon's bedroom, Jon's mother thought she really *was* Jon, since Karyn's wish did not specify that her mind stay intact as well. "Karyn, where's the stone?" "How do you know about that?" Karyn asked, still not figuring out that the person she was talking to was just as much Jon as the real Jon. "I'm the one that inherited it, Karyn. Why wouldn't I know about it? Now, come on. Tell me where you put it."
