It often struck Miss Hawthorne how... "unusually gifted" would be the phrase... the teenagers who attended her high school were. Whereas in any other school there would be a handful of students with bright futures, who may be intelligent enough or beautiful enough to make something of themselves, in this school there was a remarkable number of students who were both incredibly intelligent *and* stunningly beautiful. At a guess, about nine tenths of her girls would easily fall into this category, And her school body was mostly female too "“ approximately just one boy for every seven girls. Miss Hawthorne wondered why her school had been so blessed with so many attractive young women. "Maybe it's something in the water?" she mused. Contemplating the strong discipline and high standards she could impress upon all those beautiful young ladies in her care, it brought a warmth to her heart... and a fire to her loins.
