*Poke.* *Poke.* A sensation I hadn't felt before woke me up. As my eyelids slowly opened I caught a glimpse of something through my blurry vision. Something, no, someone was trying to wake me up. Almost out of reflex I tried to go back to sleep thinking it was my mother coming to pay me a visit. Or at least I tried to. Something was bugging me about what I saw, sure it was a girl, but she did seem odd somehow. It looked like she was... Oh crap! I sit up suddenly causing the tiny fairy to jump slightly. Ignoring her for the time being, I rushed into the office space and skimmed through my newly created story again. A heavy sigh escapes my lips as I realize that I've done it again. I turn around from my desk to find the fairy peeking around the corner. Not sure what to do, I just stared at her for a while, scratching the back of my head in embarrassment. I know I need to take responsibility for creating her, but I just don't know how. I had forgotten for the briefest of moments that my writing changes reality if I put myself in the story. It happened once during my high school days, though no one took me seriously. I ended up stuck with a secret I could never tell anyone, just like this fairy. Though it is strange that after I complete such a writing that I barely remember its contents. A sigh escaped my lips as I force my thoughts out. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to create you." The fairy sees my forlorn face and slowly inches towards me. *It's not your fault.* Her words enter my mind. I shake my head. "Even if you say that, I can't help but feel guilty. I don't want to wake up and suddenly not recognize reality." She stands on my shoulder. *From my perspective, I remember always being around you. So I can't say I know how it feels to wake up in a strange environment.* She pauses. *Just don't keep beating yourself up over it, I promise to help you however I can.* I take a moment to calm myself. "Thanks. Maybe, I needed a second opinion this whole time." I say, trying to sound more optimistic than I feel. *That's the spirit!* "By the way, what's your name?" *Violet.* I slap my cheeks to snap myself out of my momentary depression. "Okay, Violet. Let's see the extent of the damage I did to the world." I pick up my rough draft of a story and begin reading through it.
