Let's Just Stay Home Today

She rolled the die across the floor and it came up as ... lazy. Jon glanced at his watch. "It's time to go to school." "Um, I don't really feel like it today. Why don't we just stay here?" "Huh?" He looked at the die. "Karyn, it says *lazy*. Now we won't want to do anything." "That's good for me." "But, you *like* school." "Yeah, I do. But I don't really want to go today." "I think we should. You know, to see how everyone is acting." "That sounds like it could take a lot of work. I don't think I'm up for walking around." He grabbed Karyn's arm and pulled her with him. "Hey!" she yelled. "We're going. We can't see how everyone is if we just hang around here all day." Apparently, Karyn was being affected by the die more than Jon was. Jon supposed that it was because he wanted to see the effect of the die more than just sitting around being lazy. Jon pulled Karyn out through the front door and out into the yard. Karyn, all the while, kept on whining. Apparently, a little walking was *not* on her agenda.
