Karyn felt an overwhelming sense of anger. How could Jon attack her Master? Rationally, Karyn knew the truth, but she couldn't use discresion. She had to stop Jon. Like Emperor Palpatine or Darth Vadar, Karyn raised her hand and sent lightning bolts from her fingers. Though the bolts never touched Jon and instead wrapped around him (effects of the stone's protection), Jon still went flying through the air, smashing his head against the wall. "Jon!" Karyn shouted, immediately afterwards. Her anger had passed and free will returned. She lept over a table and rushed to his side. Sarah was standing, gaping at the scene. Jon groggily shoock his head. "I'm sorry, Jon . . ." Karyn whispered, "I didn't have a choice." Jon just replied with a slight smile and a pat on the Genie's knee. "Genie! What just happened!" Sarah demanded. Karyn turned slowly. "Uh, a thousand apologies, Mistress." Karyn bowed deeply, "Master Dawkins was attemtping to harm you. As your Genie, I could not allow that." "You mean Jon, who is hopelessly in love with me, as per my second wish, tried to hurt me?" "Yes, Mistress." Karyn stayed bowed. "I wish . . ." Jon began. This time, Karyn had no feeling, so he wasn't hurting Sarah or Karyn's lamp. So what was he doing?
