Where did he go?

Karyn pushed the button, and in an instant Jon disappeared before her eyes. No puff of smoke or bright flash, just one second he's there, the next, nothing. Karyn looked all around for any sign of Jon. "Jon?" she said out lout, "Jon, where did you go." No answer. "This isn't funny Jon, I know you're hiding somewhere." Karyn couldn't believe what she'd just done. Had she just vaporized her best friend? No, somehow, Karyn had the gut feeling that Jon was still alive. But *something* certainly happened, she had to find out what. Karyn decided to continue on into school. She had the strangest feeling that Jon might still be around, somewhere nearby.
