Molly's Stone: Molly Makes a Birthday Wish

On her way home, Molly's thoughts drifted to her upcoming birthday party (it was just that weekend), when she'd be turning 13 years old and officially becoming a teenager. With her party in mind, she began to think about the cake and the tradition that went along with it. "I wish my birthday wish would come true this year," Molly said. The stone glowed, but she didn't notice. She did notice that the stone warmed in her hand. She thought it was odd, but that was all. A few minutes later, she arrived home and put the stone in her rock collection. ------ That weekend, during her birthday party, Molly blew out the cake candles and made a silent wish to herself, not realizing that the wish would actually come true!
