Actually, I wouldn't put anything at all in the root episode besides the basic setup for the office and the characters. Have it be some kind of broad-scope R&D; firm, maybe, and maybe one of their products goes awry, but on the other hand, maybe that's not it at all, and it's some little trinket the receptionist picked up in a pawn shop that starts things going. It's pretty evident from YAWYW that even basic premises like the nature of the TF agent aren't always suitable for a story.
