The Non-Wishing Stone: Non-Wishes Become Wishes

At that moment, Karyn walked over. "Hey, Jon. Did you get dressed in the shower?" She snickered. "What's with all the wet clothes?" "We have a problem, Karyn," he said, then stone glowed. "Of *course* we have a problem. Sarah's been snooping around your house. I think she's after the stone." "How do you know that?" "You told me," Karyn said, looking at Jon oddly. "Just this morning." "I didn't." The stone glowed again. "Of course, you didn't, Jon. You told me last night. Something like that couldn't wait until the morning." Jon saw what was happening. The stone was granting wishes without Jon actually saying 'I wish'. He shut his mouth. He didn't want to risk saying something that would inadvertently turn into a wish.
