Sorry to hear you feeling discouraged. I fight my own demons on that too. I'm always very pessimistic about my own stories (really... you have no idea how hard it is). If you build it they will come as they say. It might take a while. Try different ideas too. Just do what makes you feel happiest. Don't worry about your experiences in ficstionmania either, that place is just too big I feel. ;)
