When Jon arrived at school, he headed towards his girlfriend Melissa Smith, hoping that she still at least recognized him, even in his current puny state. But she knew about the wishing stone, so maybe she could understand how something like this could happen. "Melissa, I need to talk to you," Jon said, grabbing her arm and pulling her away from one of her friends. After a few steps, she shrugged him off. "Get away from me, you loser." Jon's heart sunk. "Melissa, it's me. Jon. Don't you remember *anything*? I'm your boyfriend. Please remember." "Boyfriend?" She laughed. "What?" "Why would I ever date someone like *you*?" Then she turned around and walked back to her friend. "Jon?" a voice asked from behind him. "Why were you talking to that bitch?" He turned around and saw that tomboy loser girl Karyn Black. Why was she talking to him? "She's not a bitch. She's my girlfriend. She just ... doesn't remember." "What are you talking about?" Karyn asked. "Wait. Did you use the stone to *make* her your girlfriend?" Jon spun around. "How do you know about the stone? I only showed it to Melissa." Karyn started to get really concerned. The stone obviously had some sort of bad effect on Jon, but what exactly had he done to himself? Did he erase his own memory or maybe create a new one? How could he ever think that someone like Melissa would date him?
