The Egg: Something's Growing

The next morning, Jon woke up excited. He quickly grabbed the stone, knowing *exactly* what he was going to wish for. Ever since he got it, he had continually been using it for tests, basically seeing what its limits were. But now he was going to *really* use it. Unfortunately, what Jon didn't know was that what he held was not *his* stone. In fact, it wasn't even a stone at all. It was an egg, and something was growing within it. "I wish I was fully dressed and ready for school," Jon said, smiling. There was no need to go through all of that if he had the stone, which could achieve the same thing in just seconds. It glowed, granting Jon's wish. But after Jon became fully-dressed, he could have sworn he felt the stone *move*. Thinking that he was probably still a little tired and was seeing things, he dismissed it. But what Jon didn't know was that after that one wish, something inside the egg was one step closer to breaking out. It would still take another dozen wishes before it hatched, but with every new wish, Jon would notice the egg cracking (if he actually *looked* at it).
