The Sticky Stone: Something Terrifying Happened

The next morning, Jon woke up, excited. He had a whole new day to try out his newest toy: the wishing stone. He quickly got ready for school, in anticipation for what wonders the day might bring. When he was finished, he grabbed for the stone. And then something terrifying happened. The stone seemed stick to the palm of his hand, then it felt as if it were actually *merging* with his hand. Jon watched as the stone moved under his skin. "What the hell?!" he yelled, in shock. Was the stone gone? "I wish I knew what just happened." His hand grew warm and suddenly he knew. The stone had merged with his hand. And it would stay like that for the next 24 hours. "This is insane. The stone didn't do this *yesterday*."
