Transforming rays radiated from the stone. Len shut his eyes as the lives of everyone within a three-mile radius were altered. He opened his eyes and realized that he was wearing glasses. He felt a bit ... lighter. His stomach wasn't sticking out as much. He was under three hundred pounds. Some of his hard-earned flab had vanished. He walked into the boys' bathroom and stared at his face. His father's features remained; his mother's were gone. And his double chin was more like a 1.75 chin. Not a dreaded single chin but not ideal either.
A hand stroked his shoulder. "Hey, Leonard."
*Leonard?* thought Len. *Nobody but my parents call me that.* Len turned around to see a plump boy whose face mixed the familiar features of two students. "Who ...?"
