The stone he put in its place looked almost exactly like Jon's stone, except that it wasn't. It was The Opposite Opposite Stone.
It worked just like the normal stone, except that in addition to granting the wish, it also granted the *opposite* of the wish to the *opposite* of whomever or whatever the target of the wish was. It's up to the stone itself to determine what is considered "opposite".
