Jon turned around and looked at who had saved his life. It was ... Sarah McMillan? Why would *she* try to help him? She hated him.
"Sarah? You ... saved my life."

Jon smiled weakly, just as another quake hit. The two of them grabbed hold of each other to steady themselves.
As Sarah held onto Jon, her hand accidentally touched the stone which was in Jon's hand, as she said "I wish ..."
