In honesty...

This assembly idea makes me feel uncomfortable... thus far we have only touched a little on global politics... this is a biggie... to quote Jon: *"So...what now, then?" she asked. "If...if these 'gods' are coming back...what? Do we have to do what they say? Do they show up on Mount Olympus and go 'ta-da! Here we are!'? What am I supposed to be doing here?"* It would be like 'The Day Earth Stood Still'... these 'gods' would be viewed as aliens... and more then likely, feared. Humans have learned to live without them, they rarely actually *need* them... What do the gods have to gain from announcing themselves in such a way? I just don't see the motivation behind it. Also which gods in particular, are you hoping will be there? What do they wish to accomplish? If its a case of "Don't run we are your friends," I think most would run away screaming. But again, I'm a cynic on this.
