They Get Scared

Suddenly, all the light coming from the windows changed to darkness. Sarah spun around. "What happened?" Jack checked his light-up watch. It wasn't nighttime yet. So what gives? Then they heard a scream, screeching from somewhere in the house. Sarah jumped and grabbed hold of Jack, who was clearly trembling. Karyn leaned in to Jon and whispered "What *was* that?" Jon didn't know and he didn't want to find out.
