A Portable Teleporter (a different take)

"Uhm... maybe you should wish for something more portable so no one messes with it when we're away." Karyn suggested. "Okay, okay", Jon said with a sigh. "I wish the teleportation device I just wished for was portable so I can carry it with me anywhere." As Jon said that the booth that had appeared in the corner started getting smaller and smaller, until it resembled a remote control. There were a few odd buttons and flashing lights on it, as well as what appeared to be a built in battery pack on the side. "Can this teleport two people?" Karyn asked, "After all only one person can hold it." "Maybe we should just see if it works for one person first. I'll teleport somewhere in the house, and you see if you can find me." Jon turned a few dials and pressed a button. In a flash, both he and the teleporter had disappeared. Karyn left Jon's room and began looking.
