"Ethical" Writing

So I'm reading a branch and the most recent author puts Jon and gang into a pickle. The characters couldn't possibly think of a particular loophole, but after a bunch of reading here, I see it right away. So, knowing the first link normally has more future branches, and truely enjoying what the author is doing, should post a "well, duh" fix or wait to let someone else add something richer. Keeping in mind, of course, that I'm horrible about following up and if I let this chance slide, I'll probably not add this branch at all. Thoughts?
