Sarah fired the device at Jon. In an instant, he was different. He looked like a geek, with long greasy hair, and quite a bit of acne on his face. "*What* a loser," Karyn said. Although she was pleased by Jon's punishment, she was disgusted by the sight of him. "Get away from us, you *loser*," Sarah said, before laughing. Then Karyn joined in with the belittling laughter. Jon felt weaker and not as sure of himself. He was freaked out by what he had become, but he didn't feel like he could do anything about it. He was a wimp. And he did exactly what Sarah told him to do. He ran away, back home. After he was gone, Karyn and Sarah smiled at each other. "Come on, Karyn. Let's go shopping. You're gonna love your new life." Karyn was already loving it.
