"Reverse it!" Karyn told Jay. "Now!"
"I don't even know if I can do that," Jay said.
"You can. There's an option for it," Jon stated calmly. Karyn thought he was acting way too calm for what had just happened to him, But, of course, it was probably the new geek attitude that was superceding Jon's normal attitude.
"It still doesn't matter. I won't change him back," Jay said.
Karyn was shocked. She and Jon both *trusted* Jay, on more than one occasion. How could he betray them like this?
"Why not?" Karyn demanded.
"Can't you see that he's better off this way?"
Jon adjusted his thick glasses. "You know, Karyn. He's right. Logically speaking, of course. Being smarter and interested in what are considered geeky or nerdy activities is not a bad thing." Jon was beginning to *talk* like a geek.
"I never said it was a bad thing, Jon. I just don't think it's right to keep you this way, unnaturally."
Karyn watched Jay think about it. He thought about it both ways. Yes, he turned Jon into a geek against his will, and he supposed that that could be deemed wrong, but the person that Jon had become was a vast improvement. From what Jay could see, Jon was much more intelligent. Is being smarter *bad*? Couldn't this be seen as a gift to Jon, instead of a curse, which is what Karyn makes it sound like?
"Well? Are you going to fix this?" Karyn said, breaking Jay out of his thoughts.
He lifted up the device. "Yes. I'll fix it," he said.
