Jon and Karyn blinked. Jon looked at the gun in his hand. It was cracked, and half melted. "This is not good," he said. "What do you mean?" Karyn said. "Nothing happened." She looked around. Everything seemed normal. "It's broken. That can't be good." "But nothing happened," Karyn said. Zoe and her friends continued to approach. "What's happened?" Zelda asked. "Something burnt out?" She was the techie type. "Umm...yeah. It's this cheap video thing I bought," Jon lied. Unknown to Jon and Karyn, the explosion had discharged a large bolt of energy that was absorbed all around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, this meant that the energy would be discharged randomly, so they wouldn't know when... Jon suddenly noticed his sister Zoe glowing red...
