Jon's Cheerleader Family: Melissa Smith is Like Zoe

"What's Ashley doing here?" Karyn asked. "I'm watching her," Erica answered. "I promised Sarah that I would." "Is Sarah here?" "Yeah. Actually, Melissa is here too, believe it or not," Erica said. Jon figured she was talking about Melissa Smith, another one of Sarah's friends. But why would Erica think it was weird for Melissa to be at the mall? Erica pointed towards a darkened portion of the mall. Jon turned and saw a Goth girl all dressed in black. "Ugh," Jon uttered. "What a freak." But then, as he peered closer, he realized that it was Melissa! She was a Goth girl now, meaning that she probably acquired Zoe's original personality. "What's she doing over there?" Karyn asked. "Who knows?" Erica answered. "Now, what were saying about ..." Suddenly, someone grabbed Jon's shoulder, making him jump. He turned around and saw Zoe. "Like, what are you doing, Jon? Getting tired of shopping?" "No way," Jon said. "Then come on. I just saw this incredible dress at ..." As they walked away, Jon tuned out Zoe as he looked back at the changed cheerleader girls (who were definitely no longer cheerleaders). He wondered how different Sarah and her friend Nicole were. He still hadn't spotted them in the mall.
