Calling Jon

Jon awoke to the sound of his cellphone ringing. He looked at his clock and saw that it was around 7:30 AM. *Who would be calling me **this** early?* he thought. After a few rings, he answered it. "Hello?" "Hi, Jon. It's me, Karyn." "Karyn? Are you okay? Is everything ..." "Everything's fine. I'm going out, so I probably won't see you for the whole day." "Where are you going?" "To a sci-fi convention. It's gonna be *so* fun." "Karyn, you don't like sci-fi," Jon pointed out. "I do now. Jay and his friends are waiting for me, so I gotta go. Bye." And she hung up. Jon looked down at the phone in his hand. *Sci-fi convention?* he thought.
