Not Alone

As Jon comforted a shocked and crying Karyn, something watched them. He/She/It had known that something like this might happen, and so had set the wards around Jon and his house. Unfortunately, Jon had given up those protections when he'd handed the stone to Karyn. Still, he/she/it was not without other resources, and the Wanderer could not be allowed to run free.
