Jon Tells Stephanie "No"

Jon thought for a few more seconds, then said "No, I thought it would be better if I left it at home. You know, considering what happened yesterday." "What happened yesterday?" Stephanie asked. Apparently, she didn't have Karyn's memories, just her own version of things. "Uh ... I made an accidental wish. Nothing too bad, but I wanted to keep the stone safe until I had a chance to sit down and think a wish out before I used it." Stephanie nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. But don't you dare make any wishes without me," she said, before smirking. Then she walked away. Jon felt slightly guilty about lying to her. He didn't really know her, but *she* thought that they were best friends. He sighed, then headed to his next class. He wanted to be sure he got there before the bell rang.
