Cheer!: Jon and Karyn Talk, Then Kiss

Zoe walked back towards the school, towards Athena's house, hoping that she'd get some answers to what happened. On the way, she passed Jon and Karyn, who were sitting on a park bench, talking. She stopped and listened in. "But I don't get it, Karyn," Jon said. "You say you're the same, but you're not acting like it. I want to believe it's you, but you don't like cheerleaders or any of that girly stuff. You never really have." "You're right, but what I'm trying to say is that *now* I *do*. I like being like this," she said, smiling at him. "And I like *you*." She was looking at him through green eyes and a frame of golden hair with a stare that had longing in it. She broke off the stare. "Listen. Wouldn't it be great if we weren't losers anymore? If we were a happy couple, if we had some success? Don't you want a life of more than just hanging out and video games? We could have the world one day if we tried for it and stopped wasting our time. I want that," she said, sitting closer to him. "I want *you*." And then she kissed him - a long and meaningful kiss born out of years of knowing each other, and a passion, but also out of Karyn's desire for him. She was now a girl who got what she wanted. "Can you do that for me, babe?" she asked after they broke the kiss. "Sure," Jon replied. They kissed again. "Whatever has gotten into you, I like it." Immediately after Karyn's change happened, Jon regretted their decision to come back to the school (which led to Karyn becoming a cheerleader), but after spending some time with the new Karyn, he realized that maybe the change wasn't such a bad thing after all. Yes, she acted a little different, but deep down she was still the same Karyn he always knew. And it was even better yet, since this version of her seemed to be interested in him. Their kissing was proof of *that*. Jon had been thinking of using the stone to change her back to normal. But now, he was thinking of leaving things the way they were. Once Jon and Karyn decided to stop talking and just kiss, Zoe continued her walk towards Athena's house.
