Cheerleader Tryout: Jon Finally Heads Home

Long before Athena and the others left him there by the bleachers did Jon regret coming back to the school. He was perfectly content just hanging out at the mall, but Karyn insisted on checking to see if his vague wish had done anything yet. Why Karyn believed that the "interesting" thing that the stone created would be at the school, Jon had no idea. But whatever. The point was, it was a mistake coming back there. If they had just stayed at the mall or gone back to his house or her house, Karyn would still be herself right now and not a self-important snooty version of herself. He looked around at the empty football field and decided to finally head home. When Athena and the rest of the cheerleaders left, they pretty much ignored him and he wanted it to stay that way until everyone was out of sight. Sure, Sarah was gone and so was her power to change people into cheerleaders, but still ... Jon didn't want to take any chances. Who knew if one of the other cheerleaders also had a magical power that he didn't know about?
