Karyn Calls

As Josie thought about what to do next, the phone suddenly rang. It was Jon's cellphone, which sat on the nightstand next to his bed. She picked it up and saw the ID as "Karyn". That was one of her friends. Which reminded her: she probably needed to call her friends Linda, Athena, and Tommy to tell them what happened. She paused, thinking how strange it was to be best friends with an adult, two teenagers, and a preteen. Then she answered the phone. "Hi, Karyn," Josie said.
