"Yuck..." Zoe said, trying to jump back. "Jeeze, use a tissue," she said, grabbing a box and putting it within reach. "That's disgusting."
"Sorry," Linda said in a small voice. "Can I have some hot chocolate?"
"Wait?"
"Hot chocolate...my throat hurts," Linda said, sounding rather childlike.
"Fine," Zoe said. "Just this once," she said, mostly to herself, going to the kitchen to nuke some water. She wasn't as susceptible as Linda was, but unknown to her, she had just been infected.
