Laundromat: Lenore and the Boys

Lenore slid into a seat right next to Allison. "Hey, Lenore," a male voice said from desk left of her. She turned. "Umm...hi," she said. He looked sort of familiar, but she didn't know the boy's name. She'd never known everyone at school. "I heard you broke up with your boyfriend," he said, eyes a bit lower than her face. "Umm...umm...I guess," Lenore commented. "If you ever want someone to talk to..." he offered. Allison made a noise. "Can't you give her a few days before you make a move?" She said. "Honestly..." "I wasn't..." the boy protested. "I was just being nice." Lenore felt flushed and embarassed. She couldn't live like this. Her curiosity was past. The more time she spent as a pretty girl, the less she felt she could deal with it. she wanted to go back to being anonymous...
