"Now, Linda," Mikey said with authority.
"Now what?" she asked.
"Go get your things," he said. "Have you had breakfast?"
"No..." Linda admitted.
"I'll pour you a bowl of cereal," he said, starting to do so. Linda watched the bowl fill with chocolate puffs. She didn't eat those...they were so sickeningly sweet.
Mikey turned again. "Linda...your things," he repeated. "Don't make me ask you a third time."
