Apparently, since Laura was no longer herself, she no longer lived there. Her husband had unfortunately passed away several years ago, so when Laura was gone, that left no one occupying the house. It seemed that someone else had taken ownership of the house in her absence. "Will your grandchildren be joining you?" the new owner of the house asked Biff. "No..."
