The Bench: That's Not Leonard's Husband

"I've got a key, dear," Leonard said. He paused for a moment, as it sounded strange calling Kyla "dear", but then he just shrugged it off. He put the key in the lock and unlocked the door. "Will you be okay, mister ... uh ... I'm sorry. I didn't catch your name." For a second there, that seemed strange. Didn't she know this person's name? Why did she think that they were complete strangers? "My name is Leonard Drullers, dear," he said. "And you need not worry about me. My husband is home. He'll take care of me." Kyla nodded, then headed back towards the street, as Leonard entered the house and closed the door behind him. Leonard moved further into his house, wondering where his husband was, when suddenly he was startled by a voice he didn't recognize. What was this person doing in his house?
