The Bench: Jon Doesn't Want to Lose Himself

Tiffany cleared her throat. "So ... umm ... how long have you been a Goth?" Jon was about to say barely an hour, but instead said "A few years." Why did he say that? He began to get a sinking feeling that whatever was affecting everyone else's minds was also starting to effect *his*. More than anything, he wanted to keep his identity and not start thinking that he was the Goth girl that he was apparently turning into. "What's it like?" Tiffany asked. Jon didn't want to answer that question, but ended up involuntarily answering it anyway.
