"Replaced? Jon, what are you talking about?" That voice definitely did not belong to his friend Karyn. The person talked like her, but it wasn't her.
He tried a different tactic. "What if I told you there are two strangers here...and they are acting like my mom and sister...but I've never seen them before?"
"That's crazy," 'Karyn' said.
Maybe it was...but if no one but him noticed...was it crazy, or something else?
