Tales of a magic ring

I was not sure quite how I found myself in this situation. Though I suppose I best start at the beginning so.. let’s try with that. I was just an ordinary guy.. living my life. I lived alone, had very few friends and mostly just stayed out of peoples way as I coasted through life. I was considered fairly handsome by those who knew me which were… few and far between. In a way I was literally just coasting through life as others lived around me. I was a little envious of that. What is it that other people had that I lacked? I was pretty smart… some might even say too smart. Too handsome? Well- I wouldn’t consider myself that as such of course. My story began in the shopping mall when I found something very strange; a curious ring. Glancing around first to see if anyone else had noticed it, I picked it up and my life was never quite the same again…
