The Workmen: Karyn is Not Totally Convinced

Karyn looked at him skeptically. "You are telling me a bunch of strange guys came into your house, packed up everything your sister owned and took it and her away, and replaced her with someone else...like some kind of magical moving company?" Jon looked at her, seriously. "Yes." "And, Sarah isn't your sister?" "No," he said, shaking her head. "Or she wasn't." "Did you try to make a wish?" Karyn asked. "Yes, but it just sort of...flashed a few times and stopped. I tried a few wishes about this, but guess it can't change it. It works for other things." "Maybe we can figure it out," Karyn suggested. "In the meantime, we'd better get to school...I don't think they'll accept a magical reason in an excuse note."
