Miss Fine: Linda Arrives Home

Linda arrived home just before dinner. She kicked her shoes off next to the door and headed up to her room to change into something more comfortable. She didn't notice that the clothes she'd abandoned on the floor had been neatly taken care of. She just created a new pile. "Dinner's ready!" Jon's voice called up cheerily. The entire family headed down to dinner, which Jon served. Dinner was mostly small talk about everyone's day, including Linda's. After dinner, Jon insisted everyone help with the dishes before they all split up. Jon finished his homework and had started on lunches for tomorrow when the doorbell rang. He looked at his watch. "It must be our guest."
