Subliminal Messaging: Setting The Table

"Jon! Can it you come and help me set the table please?" His mother called up to him. "*What now!?*" Jon groaned as he paused his game and headed downstairs. "Why can't Zoe do it?" Jon whined to his mother as he started setting the table. "Because young man. You're 16 years old, nearly an adult. You need to start learning this sort of stuff." His mom told him. Jon couldn't argue with that so he got on with the task. "Maybe you can help me with the cooking tomorrow." She teased. "Honey I'm home!" Jon's father called out. "I'm in the kitchen!" His mom replied. "Oh hi Jon. Is that a new top? It looks cute." His dad stated as he entered. Jon blinked. When he had got home his mom insisted that he should change into one of his new tops. He chose the least girly one settling on a yellow polo shirt. "Um, thanks dad." Jon replied. His father nodded and then gave his wife a kiss on the cheek. Jon noticed his mom respond by pinching his dad on his bottom which caused him to giggle. Jon just stared. Now his dad was giggling? Something definitely was going on. He needed to speak to Karyn tomorrow.
