The Pool: Athena Can't Leave

"That must be the way out," Athena said. She grabbed hold of the newcomer, pulled the person out the chair and then took the newcomers place. But nothing happened. Athena sat in the chair for at least a minute, but nothing happened. She wondered why it worked for Buffy, but not her. Maybe because Buffy was pregnant? Or was it for a different reason? Athena hadn't yet caught on to the fact that she was in the process of becoming a different person ... a *male* person. It was actually *that* reason that she couldn't leave. She wasn't finished yet.
