Jon was in the other room, talking to Lilly while Les and Abigail decided.
"Well... What do you think, Abby?" - Asked Les, gently.
"Jon seems trustworthy enough. Besides, if she were doing anything bad, she wouldn't *come* here to *tell us*..." - Said Abby.
Les nodded.
"To be sure, Lilly *does* have friends with access to magic... Heck, so do *we*, if we count Lucas herself. It just doesn't seem the kind that can be *taught*..."
"Well, yes..." - Said Abby - "But it seems... Different. Lucas made a show of getting us to the Moon and back, but, though it wasn't anything bad, it didn't really feel *natural* and she herself admitted the power wasn't *hers*. Besides... I feel Jon can be trusted more than Lucas."
"Agreed." - Said Les - "So... We let her teach Lilly?"
"I think we should. We can keep an eye on things anyways. Besides, who knows. Maybe *you* will get to learn some stuff of your own." - Said Abby, smirking - "You *were* quite interested..."

Jon and Lilly were talking when Les and Abby walked in.
"Uhm... So... D'you let me?" - Asked Lilly, blushing.
Leslie smiled.
"Yes."
Jon found herself giggling when she saw Lilly beaming and hugging her father. She wondered for a moment if this is what it would be like when *she* had her own kid. And then blushed at the realization of what she was thinking.

Jon was getting back to her car when she saw a certain angel dressed in clothes that would be adequate for *much* colder weather and flying some thirty feet above.
"Oh, hey, Jon!" - Said Lucas - "Was taking the scenic route to the church. How goes?" - She landed in front of the snail girl.
"Uhm, goes okay. There *was* something I've been meaning to ask you, Lucas." - Said Jon, gently.
"Shoot." - Said Lucas.
"What exactly are you doing in Lakeside? I mean, why are you here?" - Asked Jon.
"Well, it began with me sensing a need to be here, then solving a little spat involving some minor attempted murder, then I met Cass. So I'm here for Cass. And because most of the *stuff* has been happening here, y'know. Plus, well, I can come and go as I please, really. So it's more like it *seems* I'm here all the time. I was actually in Kiev earlier today. You want some borscht I got from there? It's great for this cold weather."
"Uh..." - Said Jon.
"There you go." - Said Lucas, willing a small rift open and picking up and handing Jon a - rather big - closed container. It *did* smell nice.
"Uhm, thanks..." - Said Jon, wondering to herself how she was going to explain the hot package with the cyrillic alphabet and Ukranian borscht when she got home. *Then again* - thought Jon - *maybe that's the point...*
"Don't mention it. I can make more in my plot later on anyways." - Said Lucas.
"Uhm, right. Lucas, not that I mind, but... Why do you like giving out these gifts anyways?" - Asked Jon - "I mean, the *Doce de Leite* was great, everyone in my house loved it, but..."
"Because I can, really. It's not some *I'm a conceited muthafucka* thing or an *I'm buying your friendship* thing, it's just... I like the looks on people's faces when I offer them weird and nice stuff. Plus it makes me feel like I'm making people's lives a bit more surreal." - Said Lucas, smirking.
"Well, you *are*..." - Said Jon.
"See? It's working already. Anyways, enjoy the borscht!" - Said Lucas - "Laters!" - She smiled and took off.
